How High Is The Electric Current During A Static Electric Shock?
When you scuff your feet across the floor, your body acquires (or loses) net electric charge, so when you bring your finger near another object, the high voltage causes the air to conduct and an arc to form, which discharges the imbalance.
I know the voltage is in the thousands, but what’s the current during the discharge? I’ve heard it’s also very high, but the total amount of charge is low, so the very brief discharge is not harmful.
